Prohibition on the Use of Certain Raw Materials in Processed Foods

The National Agency of Drugs and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan –“ BPOM ”) recently issued Regulation of the BPOM No. 7 of 2018 on the Prohibition of Certain Raw Materials in Processed Foods (“ Regulation 7/2018 ”), with the ultimate objective of protecting the general public from any raw materials which do not satisfy minimum safety, quality and nutritional requirements.
