Provisions on BP2PT for Low-Income Citizens Redefined

In 2017, the government introduced the savings-based housing credit/financing scheme in an effort to improve access to housing for Low-Income Citizens (Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah– “ MBR ”). This scheme was introduced through the issuance of Regulation of the Minister of Public Work and Public Housing (“ Minister ”) No. 18/PRT/M/2017 on Savings-Based Housing Financing Facilities, which was subsequently amended through the issuance of Regulation of the Minister No. 12/PRT/M/2018 (collectively referred to as “ Previous Regulations ”).
