The Ministry of Trade(“Ministry”)has issued Regulation No. 8/M-DAG/PER/2/2017 (“Second Amendment”) as a second amendment to Ministry Regulation No. 37/M-DAG/PER/9/2007 on the Organization of Company Registration(“Regulation 37/2007”).In essence, the Second Amendment aims to ease the burdens placed upon businesses operating within the trade sector by amending provisions relating to mandatory re-registration of Certificates of Company Registration (Tanda Daftar Perusahaan–“TDP”). [2] Obligation to Secure TDPIn general, Regulation 37/2007 requires the following types of business to secure TDPs within three months of commencing any business activities within Indonesia (collectively referred to as “Businesses”): [3]
