Provisions on Debtor-Information System Amended

Bank Indonesia(“BI”)has issued Regulation No. 18/21/PBI/2016 (“Amendment”) on Amendment to BI Regulation No. 9/14/PBI/2007 on the Debtor Information System(“Regulation 9/2007”).The Amendment aims to ensure the realization of a complete, effective, accurate and updated BI system which offers debtor information based on the management of any debtor reports that it receives. This system is known as the Debtor Information System (Sistem Informasi Debitur– “SID”) [1] and this objective is to be implemented through the revision of a number of provisions which were originally set out under Regulation 9/2007.
