Provisions on Social and Environmental Responsibility Programs Implemented by State-Owned Enterprises Amended

The Minister of BUMN (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. PER-6/MBU/09/2022 (“ Amendment ”) in order to amend Regulation of the Minister No. PER-05/MBU/04/2021 on Social and Environmental Responsibility Programs for State-Owned Enterprises (“ Regulation 5/2021 ”). [1] In essence, this Amendment has been issued in an effort to optimize the role of state-owned enterprises (badan usaha milik negara– “ BUMN ”) during the provision of guidance and assistance to micro- and small-scale businesses (usaha mikro dan kecil– “ UMK ”), while also accommodating the development of policy directions for the implementation of social and environmental responsibility (tanggung jawab sosial dan lingkungan– “ TJSL ”) programs by BUMN.
