Provisions on the Salvage of Vessel and Cargo Wreckage Re-Amended

In order to harmonize regulations which address the salvage and removal of the wreckage of vessels, [1] the Minister of Transportation (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. PM 38 of 2018 (“ Second Amendment ”), which amends Regulation of the Minister No. PM 71 of 2013 on Salvage and/or Underwater Work (“ Regulation 71/2013 ”) for a second time.Prior to the issuance of the Second Amendment, Regulation 71/2013 was amended once previously through the issuance of Regulation of the Minister No. PM 33 of 2016 (“ Amendment ”).The Second Amendment redefines several matters which relate to the salvaging of vessels and wreckage and/or underwater works and addresses the following areas:
