An ever-increasing desire to ensure that the public receives quality services from government departments and agencies will mean that eventually every department and agency will have a serious of guidelines that stipulate the amount of time certain services should take to complete and the amount of the fee to be charged for the performance of that service. An added impact of the provisions of guidelines such as this one is that it also has the effect of providing to the consumer an explicit statement as to how long the process will take and the exact amount of the fee that they should pay. This will in turn hopefully reduce and ultimately eradicate illicit fees and prolonged service without reason throughout all government departments and agencies.
