Recruitment of Foreign Workers Further Regulated

As a follow up to the new legal framework for foreign workers, the Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) hasissued Regulation No. 10 of 2018 on the Recruitment of Foreign Workers (“ Regulation 10/2018 ”). This new regulation comprises implementing provisions for Regulation of the President (“ Regulation 20/2018 ”), which addresses the same matters. [1] Prior to the issuance of Regulation 10/2018, these matters were previously regulated under Regulation of the Minister on Procedures for the Recruitment of Foreign Workers, as amended by Regulation of the Minister (collectively referred to as “ Previous Regulations ”). [2] In principle, the following issues are specifically addressed under Regulation 10/2018:
