Presidential Regulation No. 61 of 2011 on the National Action Plan for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (“Regulation”) has been issued to implement the agreement that was negotiated at the 13th Conference of Parties (COP) of the United Nations Frameworks Convention on Climate Change in Bali, Indonesia; 15th COP in Copenhagen, Denmark; and 16th COP in Cancun, Mexico. The Regulation is also aimed at executing Indonesia's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 by 26 percent, without international assistance, or by 41 percent, with international assistance.
