Regulating the Optical Disc Industry

The Minister of Industrial Affairs (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 76/M-IND/PER/9/2014 titled Optical Disc Industry (“Regulation”) for the effective implementation of optical disc industry policies. [1] The Regulation provides guidelines for matters pertaining to the optical disc industry, and is of relevance to optical disc [2] businesses (“Business”) that produce the stamper [3] and/or optical discs (whether empty optical discs or data-filled optical disc).
