Regulatory Framework for the Procurement of Government Goods/Services Set to Be Amended

In line with Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation  (“ Job Creation Law ”), the government is hoping to realize its objective of prioritizing the use of products/services offered by micro- and small-scale enterprises and by cooperatives, and the arrangements for the procurement of construction services through state/regional budgets. In order to realize these goals, the government has drawn up a Draft of the Regulation of President (Rancangan Peraturan Presiden– “ RPerpres ”) in order to amend Regulation of the President No. 16 of 2018 on Government Procurements of Goods and Services (“ Regulation 16/2018 ”) [1] which currently sets out the main regulatory framework for the procurement of government goods and services through state/regional budget funding.
