Requirements and Procedures for Emissions Testing Units Introduced

In an effort to ensure breathable air quality, as originally mandated under Regulation of the Government No. 22 of 2021 , the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“ Minister ”) has introduced a new framework for the application of emissions quality standards (“ Quality Standards ”) for motor vehicles (“ Vehicles ”) that fall into certain categories through the issuance of Regulation No. 8 of 2023 (“ Regulation 8/2023 ”). Regulation 8/2023 has been in force since 14 August 2023 and simultaneously repeals and replaces Regulation No. 05 of 2006 (“ Regulation 05/2006 ”). [1]
