Requirements and Procedures for Registrations of Herbal Medicines Updated

The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) recently issued Regulation No. 25 of 2023 (“ Regulation 25/2023 ”), which will now serve as the framework that sets out relevant criteria and registration procedures for remedies (jamu), standardized herbal medicines, phytopharmaceuticals and other types of herbal medicines (collectively referred to as “ Herbal Medicines ”). Regulation 25/2023 has been in force since 13 October 2023. [1]
