Residents` Personal Data Protection Framework Updated

With the primary objective of providing better personal data protection and a more user-friendly experience for Indonesian residents as regards residency matters, the Indonesian Government has finally issued Regulation of the Government No. 40 of 2019 (“ Regulation 40/2019 ”) on the Implementation of Law No. 23 of 2006 on Residency Administration, as Amended by Law No. 24 of 2013 on the Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2006 on Residency Administration (“ Residency Law ”).
