Respite for Travelers: Personal-Use Goods Worth up to US$ 500 Now Exempted from PPN, PPnBM and PPh

Back in 2017, Indonesia’s Minister of Finance (“ Minister ”) issued Regulation No. 203/PMK.04/2017 on Provisions on Imports and Exports of Goods Carried by Passengers and Transportation Crews (“ Regulation 203/2017 ”). [1] However, in order to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the available import services for said goods, the Minister has now decided to issue Regulation No. 34 of 2025 on the Amendment to Regulation 203/2017 (“ Amendment ”), which has been in force since 6 June 2025.
