In an effort to ensure improved welfare for mothers and children as the country’s future generation, Indonesia’s House of Representatives has finally passed the Bill on the Welfare of Mothers and Children During the First Thousand Days of Life Phase (Rancangan Undang-Undang Kesejahteraan Ibu dan Anak Pada Fase Seribu Hari Pertama- “ RUU KIA ”). Comprising nine chapters and 46 articles, RUU KIA sets out various provisions that apply to different types of stakeholders regarding the realization of the welfare of mothers and children. However, it should be noted that some of these provisions still require further elaboration, as will be provided through the following forthcoming implementing Regulations: [1]
