In 2021, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (“ Minister ”) issued Regulation No. 30 of 2021 on the Prevention and Management of Sexual Violence Within Higher Education Institutions (“ Regulation 30/2021 ”). As its title suggests, Regulation 30/2021 sets out the obligations that should be met by various parties working at higher education institutions in relation to the prevention and mitigation of sexual violence. [1] It should be noted that various measures aimed at the prevention and mitigation of acts of sexual violence, as originally outlined under Regulation 30/2021, were previously summarized in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ ILB ”): “ Higher Education Institutions Required to Establish Task Forces for the Prevention and Mitigation of Sexual Violence ”.
