In 2024, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Types Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) introduced Regulation No. 9 of 2024 (“ Regulation 9/2024 ”) on Guidelines for Follow-up Actions to Supervision Results for Medicines, Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Narcotics, Psychotropics, Precursors and Addictive Substances (collectively referred to as “ Controlled Substances ”), which is aimed at ensuring the thorough oversight of Controlled Substances in order to prevent any deviations during the importation, production and distribution of any such products.
