Secure Your Foreign Exchange: Bank Indonesia Securities and Sukuk Now an Option

In 2023, Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) issued Regulation No. 7 of 2023 on Foreign-Exchange Export Proceeds (Devisa Hasil Ekspor– “ DHE ”) and Foreign-Exchange Import Payments (Devisa Pembayaran Impor– “ DPI ”) (“ Regulation 7/2023 ”) which set out the various obligations of importers, exporters, banks and the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia– “ LPEI ”), as well as the supervision regime and suspended import-and-export service releases.
