SKEM Compliance for Clean Water Pump Products Clarified: Mandatory Energy-Saving Star Labels to Come into Force in May 2027

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“ Minister ”)has issued Decree No. 212.K/EK.01/MEM.E/2026 (“ Decree 212/2026 ”) on the Implementation of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (Standar Kinerja Energi Minimum– “ SKEM ”) Through the Inclusion of Energy-Saving Labels for Clean Water Pump Energy-Utilizing Equipment (“ Clean Water Pumps ”). Decree 212/2026 will now serve as an implementing framework to Regulation of the Minister No. 14 of 2021 on the Implementation of SKEM for Energy-Utilizing Equipment ( Regulation 14/2021 ). [1]
