SKK Migas Introduces Procedural Guidelines for CCS and CCUS in KKKS Working Areas: Two Forms of POD Required to Be Submitted by KKKS

In an effort to introduce a further legal basis for and to improve clarity regarding the implementation of Carbon Capture and Storage (“ CCS ”) and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (“ CCUS ”), as undertaken within the Working Areas of Cooperation Contract Contractors (Kontraktor Kontrak Kerjasama– “ KKKS ”), the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas (Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Usaha Minyak dan Gas Bumi– “ SKK Migas ”) has issued a set of Working Procedural Guidelines No. PTK-070/SKKIA0000/2024/S9 (“ Procedural Guidelines ”) on the Organization of CCS and CCUS within KKKS Working Areas (collectively referred to as “ Carbon Capture ”), which has been in force since 12 January 2024.
