Stricter Standards Introduced for Financial Endorsements: PUJK Held Accountable as Financial Influencers Face New Disclosure and Licensing Rules

The Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan– “ OJK ”) has issued Regulation No. 6 of 2026 on the Behavior of Information Providers Within the Financial Services Sector (“ Regulation 6/2026 ”). Broadly speaking, this new framework targets both Providers of Financial Services (Pelaku Usaha Jasa Keuangan– “ PUJK ”) and Information Providers (Penyampai Informasi), who are commonly referred to as financial influencers (“ Financial Influencers ”).
