Supervisory Measures for TPB and KITE Facilities Regulated

In a bid to improve the supervision and granting of import facilities, the Director-General of Customs and Excise (“ Director-General ”) has issued Regulation No. PER-02/BC/2019 on the Governance of Monitoring and Evaluation for the Recipients of Bonded Storage Facilities and Export-Oriented Import Facilities (“ Regulation 2/2019 ”). [1] In regard to the granting of Bonded Storage (Tempat Penimbunan Berikat– “ TPB ”) facilities and Export-Oriented Import Facilities (Kemudahan Impor Tujuan Ekspor– “ KITE ”), Regulation 2/2019 sets out various supervisory measures which address the following areas:
