In a bid to further regulate the mandatory utilization of national insurance for exports and imports of certain goods, [1] the Director-General of Foreign Trade (“ Director-General ”) has officially issued Regulation of the Director-General No. 02/DAGLU/PER/1/2019 on Technical Guidelines for the Implementation of Provisions on the Utilization of National Insurance for Exports and Imports of Certain Goods (“ Regulation 2/2019 ”).Regulation 2/2019 serves as an implementation of Regulation of the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) No. 82 of 2017 on Provisions on the Utilization of National Maritime Transportation and Insurance for Imports and Exports of Certain Goods, which was most recently amended through the issuance of Regulation of the Minister No. 80 of 2018 . [2] Regulation 2/2019 specifically addresses the following matters:
