The Exploitation of Surface Water - Licenses Required

The Government of Jakarta has recognized that the uncontrolled use of surface water will ultimately lead to a drop not only in the amount of surface water available but also in the quality of the remaining surface water. With this in mind the Governor of Jakarta has issued RegulationNo. 65 of 2007to guarantee the quantity and quality of the surface water available and simultaneously take the necessary measures to ensure the conservation of what is considered to be a vital water resource.
