The Minister of Internal Affairs (“ Minister ”) recently issued the Regulation No. 102 of 2019 on the Granting of Access Rights and the Utilization of Population Data (“ Regulation 102/2019 ”) in an effort to offer an easier experience as regards the utilization of population data relating to public services, development planning, law enforcement and other public-related activities. In order to achieve this goal, Regulation 102/2019 updates provisions which address these specific matters and which were previously set under the now-repealed Regulation of the Minister No. 61 of 2015 on Requirements and Procedures for the Granting of Access Rights and Utilization of Citizenship Registry Numbers, Population Data and Electronic Residency Identification Cards (“ Previous Regulation ”).
