In an effort to prevent and eradicate the crimes of money laundering and terrorism funding, Land Deed Officials (Pejabat Pembuat Akta Tanah– “ PPAT ”) as reporting parties, are required to implement the principle of knowing the users of their services (“ Users ”). Accordingly, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency has issued Regulation No. 21 of 2022 on the Implementation of the Know-Your-User Principle by PPAT (“ Regulation 21/2022 ”), which has been in force since 28 December 2022.
