The Minister of Finance (“ Minister ”) has now formalized the various technicalities relating to imports or export of goods which are deemed to infringe intellectual property rights (“ Infringing Goods ”) through the issuance of Regulation on Recordation, Detention, Guarantees, Temporary Suspensions, Monitoring and Evaluation for the Control of Imported or Exported Goods Which Are Suspected of Resulting or Originating from Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights (“ Regulation 40/2018 ”).Regulation 40/2018 will now serve as a technical framework for the implementation of Regulation of the Government on Control of the Import and Export of Goods Which Infringe Intellectual Property Rights.
