Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) has decided to revise the value thresholds for foreign-exchange traffic (Lalu Lintas Devisa– “ LLD ”) that takes the form of outgoing transfers of funds in foreign currencies (“ Outgoing Transfers ”) and that requires supporting documents. These thresholds were previously addressed under Regulation of the BI Board of Governors of No. 21/28/PADG/2019 on the Monitoring of the Foreign Exchange Traffic Activities of Banks and Customers, which was subsequently amended by Regulation of the BI Board of Governors of No. 5 of 2023 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 21/2019 ”). These frameworks have now been replaced by Regulation of the Board of Governors No. 8 of 2026 on the Third Amendment to Regulation 21/2019 (“ Third Amendment ”), which sets out the new value thresholds.
