Timber Utilization License Regulation Amended

The Minister of Forestry (“Minister”) recently issued Regulation No. P.20/Menhut-II/2013 (“Amendment”) to amend Minister Regulation No. P.14/Menhut-II/2011 on Timber Utilization Licenses (“Regulation”). This Amendment is a response to theSupreme Court’s judicial review Decision No. 41 P/HUM/2011 (“Decision”) dated 9 February 2009 [1] that found several articles under the Regulation to be in contradiction with higher laws and regulations. [2]
