Toward Improved Handling of Land Cases: Govt. Set to Launch New Anti-Land Mafia Task Force as Part of Crackdown on Organized Land Crime

In 2020, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (“ Minister ”) introduced Regulation No. 21 of 2020 on the Handling and Settlement of Land Cases (“ Regulation 21/2020 ”). As its title suggests, Regulation 21/2020 sets out essential procedures for the processing and settlement of land disputes, conflicts and cases (collectively referred to as “ Land Cases ”), including various case classifications and types of case settlements.
