Two Types of Bonded Exhibition Areas Introduced

In an attempt to increase Indonesia’s export rate and further promote domestic industry, the Minister of Finance (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 174/PMK.04/2022 on Bonded Exhibition Areas (“ Regulation 174/2022 ”), which has been in force since 2 February 2023 and which simultaneously repeals and replaces Decree of the Minister No. 123/KMK.05/2000 on Entrepot for Exhibition Purposes (“ Regulation 123/2000 ”), [1] as it has been assessed unable to accommodate the needs of the general public.
