Unemployment Insurance: Provisions Under the Draft Regulation of the Government on the Implementation of the Job Creation Law

Unemployment insurance (Jaminan Kehilangan Pekerjaan– “ JKP ”) is a new concept for Indonesia and has now been introduced under the umbrella framework of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (“ Job Creation Law ”). [1] Against this background, the government is currently preparing a Draft Regulation of the Government (“ RPP ”) on the Organization of the Unemployment Insurance Program (“ RPP JKP ”) in order to implement the various provisions set out under the Job Creation Law.
