In 2021, the Minister of Environment and Forestry specifically addressed a wide array of aspects and mechanisms relating to forestry planning, changes to the designations and functions of forest areas and uses of forest areas through the issuance of Regulation No. 7 of 2021 (“ Regulation 7/2021 ”). [1] It should be noted that various provisions originally set out under Regulation 7/2021 were briefly summarized in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ ILB ”): “ Government Further Regulates Forestry Planning, Changes to the Designations and Functions of Forest Areas and Uses of Forest Areas ”.
