In an effort to ensure that Indonesia’s tourism sector fully embraces sustainability and prioritizes local culture as a primary asset,Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat– “ DPR ”),in conjunction with various governmentcounterparts, is currently completing work on a new Draft Bill (“ Draft Bill ”) on the Third Amendment to Law No. 10 of 2009 on Tourism, which was most recently amended by Regulation of the Government in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation (collectively referred to as “ Law 10/2009 ”).
