Updated Framework on Green Industry Standards: Raising Sustainable Practices Within the Palm Cooking Oil Industry

In order to bring the prevailing legal framework into line with ongoing developments in the palm cooking oil industry, the Minister of Industry recently issued Regulation No. 44 of 2024 on Green Industry Standards for the Palm Cooking Oil Industry (“ Regulation 44/2024 ”), which will now serve as a set of guidelines for use by palm cooking oil companies during the implementation of green industry practices within their production processes. The guidelines feature a set of standards that specifically address technical and management requirements for the green industry standards (standar industri hijau– “ SIH ”). [1]
