Updated Framework on Technical Considerations for Imports of Iron or Steel, Alloy Steel and Their Derivative Products Introduced: List of Eligible Importers Further Clarified

In 2019, the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”) introduced the framework of Regulation No. 1 of 2019 on Technical Considerations for Imports of Iron or Steel, Alloy Steel and Their Derivative Products, as amended several times, most recently through Regulation of the Minister No. 4 of 2021 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 1/2019 ”), which in essence addresses various requirements and procedures that are applicable in relation to the issuance of technical considerations for imports of iron or steel, alloy steel and their derivative products (collectively referred to as “ Commodities ”).
