In order to ensure that Regulation of Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) No. 4 of 2023 on Short-Term Liquidity Loans (Pinjaman Likuiditas Jangka Pendek– “ PLJP ”) for Conventional Commercial Banks (Bank Umum Konvensional– “ BUK ”), as amended by Regulation of BI No. 10 of 2023 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 4/2023 ”) [1] is complemented by an adequate mechanism for the provision of PLJP, BI’s Board of Governors has decided to introduce a new implementing regulation to the aforementioned framework of Regulation 4/2023 through the issuance of Regulation No. 21 of 2023 (“ Regulation 21/2023 ”), which has been in force since 28 December 2023. [2] Upon entering into force, Regulation 21/2023 simultaneously repealed and replaced the following legal frameworks: [3]
