The Minister of Transportation (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. PM 51 of 2014 on Formulation for Calculating and Determining Upper Fare Thresholds for Economy Class Passengers on Scheduled Domestic Flights (“2014 Regulation”). The Minister went ahead and issued the 2014 Regulation, despite strong objections from the Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU) and low cost carrier airline companies. [1]
