Utilization of B3m Through Biomass Cofiring Set for Gradual Implementation During 2023 - 2030 Period

In an effort to expedite compliance with various renewable energy (Energi Baru Terbarukan/EBT) targets in line with the national primary energy mix whilst simultaneously reducing the country’s greenhouse gas (“ GHG ”) emissions, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“ Minister ”) has decided to issue Regulation No. 12 of 2023 (“ Regulation 12/2023 ”) on the Utilization of Biomass Fuel (Bahan Bakar Biomassa– “ B3m ”) as Fuel Mixture in Steam Power Plants (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap – “ PLTU ”), which has been in force since 30 November 2023.
