Warehouse Receipting System - Filling in the Blanks

To ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the warehouse receipting system as mandated inLaw No. 9 of 2006there is a requirement to put into place subsidiary legislation for this purpose. With a view to enumerating how the warehouse receipting system is going to work in reality the Government has issued two regulations; Government RegulationNo. 36 of 2007and Minister of Trade RegulationNo. 26/M-DAG/PER/6/2007. These regulations are in essence the 'tip of the iceberg' as the Commodities Futures Exchange Supervisory Agency (Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi / Bappebti) is preparing another 8 regulations covering supervision matters related to the warehouse receipting system.
