Academic Manuscript for the Legislation Formation Law Prepared

The government has begun preparing the academic manuscript for the Draft Law on the Formation of Legislation.

“This year, we are programming the preparation of the academic manuscript for the Draft Law to amend Law Number 12 of 2011,” said Aisyah Lailiyah, Director of Legislative Planning at the Ministry of Law, to hukumonline.com.

“We are also collaborating with the National Development Agency, which last year conducted thematic studies related to improving this law,” she added. The National Legal Development Agency is also initiating and drafting the academic manuscript for this law amendment.

Currently, there are two recommendations: to amend or replace the law entirely, as many aspects need refinement. However, the two previous amendments to the law were made in response to specific needs rather than being based on an academic manuscript.
