BPDP Develops One-Stop Information System for ISPO Certification

The Plantation Fund Management Agency (“BPDP”) is currently preparing an integrated information system to support the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (“ISPO”) certification program. Dida Gardera, Chairperson of the BPDP Supervisory Board, stated that the information system is designed with interoperability capabilities, enabling the integration of various applications managed by different ministries and government institutions that have previously operated separately.

“This information system will integrate all existing applications from relevant ministries, including SIPERIBUN from the Ministry of Agriculture, SIINAS from the Ministry of Industry, SIMONTANA from the Ministry of Forestry, as well as systems from the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN),” he stated.

Dida explained that the integrated information system has two main functions: first, to provide a standardized application form for all ISPO certification bodies, thereby accelerating the administrative process; and second, to support traceability in trade transactions. Through this traceability function, international buyers will be able to verify the sustainability of palm oil products through data recorded in the integrated system.

Dida stated that the development of the integrated information system has currently entered the tender stage to select the most suitable system operator capable of serving all business actors in the palm oil industry. He targets the system to be widely available for use by business actors by the end of 2026.
