Commission VI of the Council The People's Representative Council (" DPR ") formed committee work ( Panja ) accelerates discussion of the Manuscript of the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 about State-Owned Enterprises (“ BUMN Law” ). A number of points changes to the BUMN Law will become underlying regulation for formation Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (“ BPI Danantara ”).
“"There will be an adjustment to the articles for the regulation of Danantara as a holding company for BUMN investments and assets," said an expert from Commission VI of the DPR who did not want to be named.
Based on the draft amendment to the BUMN Law received by Hukumonline, it is not clearly stated regarding the formation of Danantara. However, in Article 62B numbers 1 and 2 of the draft amendment to the BUMN Law, it is stated regarding the establishment of an asset management BUMN that has the authority to carry out restructuring in both the financial and business sectors and/or revitalization of BUMN, as well as management of productive assets owned by the state.

The important points in the draft amendment to the BUMN Law are the affirmation of the President's authority in managing state assets separated from BUMN, then the affirmation of the duties and authority of the Minister of BUMN in managing and fostering BUMN.
