Danantara Draft Bill Removed from National Legislation Program

The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (“DPR RI”) has removed the Draft Bill on Daya Anagata Nusantara (“Danantara”)  from the 2026 Priority National Legislation Program (“Prolegnas”) list, following the enactment of the revision of Law No. 19 of 2003 on State-Owned Enterprises (“BUMN”), as amended several times, most recently by Law No. 1 of 2025 (collectively referred to as “Law 19/2023”), into law. The evaluation of the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list was processed after the recess.

“It seems that the Danantara Draft Bill has been removed from the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list. There may be an evaluation in the coming month,” said the Chairman of the Legislation Body (Baleg) of DPR RI, Bob Hasan, to Hukumonline.

Although the 2025-2026 Prolegnas Priority list was only approved in September, the evaluation does not need to wait until the end of 2026. This is because a number of Draft Bills will be completed in 2025.

“It is possible that some will be completed in 2025, but yesterday they were launched for 2026 as well,” said Bob.

The Danantara Draft Bill was removed from the 2026 Prolegnas Priority list because it is sufficient to revise Law 19/2023. There are several points of amendment to Law 19/2023, one of which regulates the composition of shares in the investment holding company and the operational holding company in the Danantara Investment Management Agency (“BPI”).
