Decree of Minister of Health Plans to Regulate Services for Specific Health Issues

The Ministry of Health (“ Kemenkes ”) continues to update the technical guidelines (“ juknis ”) for Free Medical Check-up (Cek Kesehatan Gratis– “ CKG ”) program. Maria Endang Sumiwi, Director-General of Primary Care and Community Health, stated that a Decree of the Minister of Health (“ Kepmenkes ”) will be issued regarding CKG for specific health issues.

“We will re-evaluate it. Since certain regions have specific health issues, we will take that into consideration” Maria told Hukumonline.

Kemenkes has issued Kepmenkes No. HK.01.07/MENKES/33/2025 on Technical Guidelines for Free Medical Check-Ups on Birthdays (“ Kepmenkes 33/2025 ”), which targets all age groups. Additionally, there are also juknis for CKG at school, which is held at the beginning of each new academic year.

Maria mentioned that the Kemenkes will review which CKG packages need to be added. “Next year, we will reassess whether any additional examinations need to be included,” she concluded.
