DPR Encourages Regional Regulations to Boost the Local Economy

Member of Commission XI of DPR, Anna Mu’awanah, encoourage the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency to maximize local-based economies in the development plans.

“The State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara– “ APBN ”) is used by all ministries, agencies, and bodies. There needs to be emphasis here that all these agencies use local products. This way, the central government can evaluate the use of the Domestic Component Level (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri– “ TKDN ”),” said Anna to Hukumonline                                   .

The position of the Ministry of Planning is very strategic and can request regional governments to encourage national economic growth. To maximize this, Anna suggests the issuance of regulations.

“The relevant ministries may assign regional governments to issue regulations on the use of local products. Ministries must also committed (to use local products) through (the issuance of) circular or other measures,” she said
