The Government is introducing quality control provisions related to spatial planning business processes. These provisions will be incorporated into the Draft Government Regulation (“PP”) on the Organization of Spatial Planning.
“In the derivatives Norms, Standards, Procedures, and Criteria (“NSPK”), we will include quality control aspects, so that spatial planning products can better guide land use in an optimal manner,” said Djuang Fadjar Sodikin, Assistant Deputy for the Implementation of Spatial Planning and Agrarian Arrangement, to Hukumonline.
The quality control provisions in spatial planning cover data collection, participatory aspects, and the preparation of plans. The Draft PP on the Organization of Spatial Planning also introduces additional provisions on dispute resolution to support sustainable spatial planning and to provide legal certainty for investors.
“Spatial Planning Committee will be involved in the event of disputes arising from differences in policy,” he added.
