Draft Permen on Fiscal Stimulus for Eid al-Fitr Transportation

The government is reintroducing a special fiscal stimulus program for the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Fitr period. This is set out in the Draft Minister of Regulation of the Finance (“ RPermenkeu ”) on Value Added Tax (“ PPN ”) on the provision of government-borne (Ditanggung Pemerintah/DTP) domestic scheduled commercial air transport services in economy class for the 2026 Fiscal Year.

“High mobility during the holiday, high spending, and an active economy. Sales of electronics and hotels also increase,” stated Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.

The PPN borne by the government for Train tickets is set at 30%. Meanwhile, the discount for ship tickets will also be 30%, and for airplane tickets—which during the Christmas holiday was previously covered at only 6%—the coverage will now be 17%–18%.

“The Rpermenkeu is targeted to be finalized next week,” added Airlangga.
