The government, through the Ministry of Environment (“KLH) or the Environmental Control Agency (“BPLH”) is preparing a Draft Regulation of the Minister (“Draft Regulation”) on Air Pollution Control for Stationary Sources. This regulation will tighten industrial emission quality standards.
“We justify it with references, meaning theory plus calculations to date. We will summon the regulated industries,” Nixon told Hukumonline.
Through this regulation, KLH/BPLH also regulates industrial emission sources in more detail and specificity because the current emission standards and limits need to be updated. This aims to maintain air quality.
“We at LH must protect the environment. The bottom line is to reduce emissions and tighten emission standards,” said Nixon.
